DISCOVER A NEW WAY TO MAKE FRIENDS

Join Our Community Circles!

Let's face it — making friends as adults is tough. In the midst of a loneliness epidemic, it's even harder.

We were never taught how to make friends, and modern life isn't making it any easier. Social media, technology, remote work — all these things contribute to social isolation.

But what if there was a way to change that?

Rediscover the Joy of Making Friends

Remember how easy it was to make friends as a kid? You’d simply ask the person next to you at school, "Want to be friends?" and just like that, you had a new buddy. College was similar; shared experiences and common interests made forming connections a breeze. But after college, our focus shifts to careers and romantic relationships, often leaving little time for building new friendships.

If you've ever experienced the Seattle Freeze, you know how frustrating it can be. The "Seattle Yes" sounds promising — "Let's hang out sometime soon" — but the follow-through rarely happens. Coming from the Midwest, where making friends felt more natural, this was a shock to me, and this makes it even more difficult to find and build new friendships, especially in Seattle.

Why Connection Matters

Human connections are essential for our health and happiness. Strong friendships enrich our lives, boost our mental well-being, and provide much-needed support. Unfortunately, many of us aren’t equipped with the skills to form these new friendships as adults. But it’s never too late to learn.
