1. How do I apply for the Community Circle?

 

Applying is easy! Just fill out the application form, which helps us match you with the best circle based on your interests, gender, age range, and availability. Your application also serves as a brief bio that will be shared with your group upon acceptance.

 

Once you submit your application, you’ll pay a small deposit upfront to secure your spot. If your cohort is full or canceled, you’ll receive a full refund, or be put into the next round, top-priority.

2. What’s different about this program compared to other social meetups?

 

Unlike casual meetups, Community Circles are structured, commitment-based, and collaborative. Each member plays an active role in planning and participating in events, ensuring engagement, accountability, and deeper connections.

3. How Are Community Circles Formed?

 

We get it — no one wants to end up in a group where they feel totally out of place. That’s why we take the time to thoughtfully match each Community Circle based on key factors like:

 

• Interests & hobbies

• Age range & life stage

• Availability & location preferences

• Shared values & connection goals

• Hogwarts House (haha, kidding, kind of ;) 

 

That said, while we do our absolute best to create groups that make sense, we can’t guarantee a perfect match across every category. Why? Because a lot depends on the number of applicants, their availability, and the variety of people who sign up each round.

 

What we can guarantee: You’ll be placed in a group where you have meaningful things in common —enough to foster real conversations and connections. The magic of Community Circles isn’t about finding a carbon copy of yourself; it’s about meeting people who get you and are just as committed to showing up and building friendships as you are.

 

And hey, some of the best friendships come from unexpected places!

 

4. What kind of activities will we do?

Your group will decide on activities based on shared interests, creating experiences that feel natural and fun. This could include game nights, trivia, foodie outings, outdoor adventures, volunteering, creative workshops, or unique social gatherings.

 

And don’t worry,  you won’t have to figure it all out on your own. The first meetup will be planned for you - think meeting at a restaurant, coffee shop, park, etc.  You’ll receive guidance on planning meaningful meetups, along with suggestions to keep things engaging each week. The goal is for your circle to meet consistently at the same time and day to build deeper connections over time. Plus, you'll be invited to a final meetup to celebrate your group's new connections with other community circles!

5. What are the board roles, and how do they work?

To keep engagement high and ensure your group runs smoothly, each member will take on a role throughout the program. These roles are designed to make participation feel natural and balanced, not overwhelming.

​

• Circle Lead: Keeps the group connected, maintains momentum, and checks in with members. No need to be the boss — just a supportive organizer who makes sure things stay on track.

• Event Coordinator:  Plans and organizes weekly meetups based on group preferences. Handles logistics like reservations, locations, and scheduling.

• Social Connector: Brings the energy! Engages everyone, checks in with quieter members, and suggests icebreakers or fun conversation starters. Also starts and manages the group chat.

• Memory Keeper: Captures moments (with group consent) through photos, helps create a shared album, and writes a brief group reflection each week.

• Discussion Leader: Guides deeper conversations, introduces reflection prompts, and ensures each meetup fosters meaningful connection.

• Wildcard (Flex Role): Jumps in where needed! Can support any role or step in to help with tasks based on the group's needs.

Each role comes with simple guidelines, so you’ll always know what to do. Plus, groups can rotate roles weekly or stick with what works best — flexibility is key!

6. What Kind of Support Will I Receive During the 6 Weeks?

We carefully curate each group based on interests, values, and lifestyles to ensure compatibility and organic connection.

Onboarding Session & First Meetup

Your first session will be scheduled with a guided activity  — introductions, group expectations, and a fun icebreaker activity to get things started. 

 

Weekly Check-Ins & Group Support

You’ll receive prompts, reminders, and light guidance each week to keep your group on track and engaged.

 

Role Assignments & Planning Framework

Each person in your circle will have a specific role to keep things flowing — whether that’s coordinating logistics, setting the vibe, or facilitating discussions. This ensures that the work is evenly distributed, and no one is left doing all the planning.

 

Troubleshooting & Guidance When Needed

If your group encounters challenges (e.g., someone isn’t participating, scheduling issues arise), we’re here to help with troubleshooting strategies to keep things smooth.

 

Alumni Access & Continued Connection

You'll be invited to a special final celebration, an in-person happy hour hosted by Mixingle to toast your group's success and celebrate your new connections. Plus, you'll gain ongoing access to alumni meetups and our private Facebook community, so you can continue nurturing the friendships you've built.

7. What if I can’t commit to the full program?

 

This program is designed to build deeper connections over time, so we ask that participants commit to the majority of the sessions. If now isn’t the right time, we encourage you to apply for a future circle!

8. How many people will be in each circle?

 

Each circle will consist of 4-6 participants carefully selected for compatibility, shared interests, and age range.

9.  What if I don’t make a close friend during the program?

 

While we can’t guarantee lifelong friendships, we do promise to create an environment that makes forming connections much easier. Even if you don’t meet your new best friend, you’ll gain valuable social skills and expand your network.​

10. What is included in the $125 program fee?

 

Your program fee covers everything you need to have a seamless, meaningful experience in Community Circles:

• Guided Structure & Resources – You’ll receive a clear framework to follow, including prompts, activity ideas, and discussion guides to help build deeper connections.

• Ongoing Support – Throughout the program, you’ll have access to additional tips, check-ins, and encouragement to ensure your group stays engaged and thriving.

• A Built-in Community – Beyond just meeting new people, you’ll be part of a structured, supportive space designed for long-term friendships.

• Final Celebration – At the end of the 6 weeks, Mixingle hosts an in-person happy hour to toast your group’s success and bring all the Circles together, because making new friends deserves a celebration.

11. Can I stay connected with my group after the program?

 

Absolutely! You’ll be added to an exclusive alumni group where you can keep in touch, continue meeting up, and connect with members from other circles.

12. Is there a final event or closing celebration?

 

​Yes! At the end of the 6 weeks, Mixingle hosts an in-person happy hour for all the Circles in your area. It’s a casual, fun way to celebrate your group’s journey, meet other Circles, and raise a glass to the connections you’ve built. (And yes, the first round’s on us!)

13. How will I know the details for each session?

 

We’ve taken the stress out of planning, really. Each group follows a simple, structured framework to make scheduling smooth and seamless. Every week, your Event Coordinator (a role that rotates) will confirm the details like time, location, and any logistics.

 

You won’t be left guessing or scrambling. There’s a shared space (like a group chat) where all the info lives, so everyone stays in the loop and on the same page.

 

Plus, we’ll give your group clear guidelines, event ideas, and weekly reminders to keep things moving without pressure. You’ll have just enough structure to keep it flowing, and enough flexibility to make it your own.

 

Friendship shouldn’t feel like another task, it should feel like something to look forward to. And we’ve designed it that way.

14. I want to sign up! What are the key dates?

 

We’re currently welcoming applications for Community Circles, and new cohorts will begin forming on a rolling basis! That means the sooner you apply, the sooner your circle can start!

 

Here’s a general timeline to give you an idea:

• Apply by: April 24

• Group Matches Sent: Week of April 29

• First Meetups Begin: Week of May 6

 

While exact dates may shift slightly depending on availability, we’ll keep you updated every step of the way once you apply. The sooner you get your application in, the better your chances of being placed in a circle that truly fits you.
